Skinny Fettuccine Alfredo

Delicious Alfredo sauce that’s lower fat and can be lactose free too.
Ingredients
- 1.5 tbsp butter / margarine
- 1.5 tsp minced garlic
- 3 tbsp flour
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 1.5 cups milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 12 oz Fettuccine noodles
Directions
- In skillet over medium heat, add 1.5 tbsp butter / margarine and let it melt.
- Add 1.5 tsp garlic and let it sizzle for just a minute.
- Stir in 3 tbsp flour.
- Stir in 1.5 cups chicken broth and use whisk to remove lumps.
- Stir in 1.5 cups milk.
- Let simmer for 6 - 8 min or until it starts to thicken.
- For lactose free, leave out shredded parmesan cheese.
- Mix into cooked Fettuccine noodles.
- Add parmesan cheese to individual servings if desired.
