Gum Drop Cake

A christmas time favorite, cake and gum-drop candies!
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1.5 cups flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 8 oz (1 package) cream cheese
- 1 cup margarine or butter
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups gum drops
Directions
- Cut up gum drops and flour them with 1/2 cup of the flour. I cut them into 3 pieces and make sure each piece is floured. Refrigerate while preparing the cake batter.
- Cream 1 cup butter / margarine & 8 oz cream cheese until fluffy.
- Add 1 1/2 cups sugar, 1 tsp vanilla and 4 eggs 1 at a time beating well after adding each egg.
- Combine remaining 1 1/2 cup flour, 1 1/2 tsp baking powder and 1/4 tsp salt.
- Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture.
- Lastly add the floured gumdrops and combine well.
- Grease and flour a loaf pan or use parchment paper.
Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees.
