Poutine Gravy

Nice tasting gravy to go on your french fries and cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small clove minced garlic
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour

Directions

  • Heat 1/2 tbsp oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add 1 small clove garlic and saute until browned.
  • Add:
    • 2 cups chicken stock
    • 2 cups beef stock.
    • 2 tbsp ketchup.
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar.
    • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Bring to a boil.
  • While that is heating, in a separate saucepan melt 3 tbsp butter and stir in 3 tbsp flour to make a roux.
  • Whisk stock mixture into the roux and simmer until reduced by half about 20 minutes.

Spoon over french fries and cheese, and enjoy!
